At its annual meeting, the Committee for the History of Economics of the German Economic Association (Verein für Socialpolitik) elected Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Allgoewer (Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics) as its chair. The Committee is concerned with the historiography of economics in the broadest sense, including the history of economic ideas, theories, methods, and institutions, its schools and traditions, as well as the lives and work of individual economists. The academic findings presented at the Committee’s meetings are published by Duncker & Humblot in the series “Studien zur Entwicklung der ökonomischen Theorie” (Studies in the Development of Economic Theory).
