The Berlin banking scandal, the financial crisis, and most recently Cum/Ex. There are continuities: the close interconnection between elites, for example, or the slow pace of investigation. Long-time senior public prosecutor Anne Brorhilker has gained deep insights into this and, now that she has left public service, has also published a book on Cum/Ex. The lawyer now works as managing director of Finanzwende e.V.
Prof. Dr. Jürgen Beyer from the University of Hamburg discusses the morality of bankers and the continuities of German financial market scandals with her. The research areas of the economic and organizational sociologist include corporate governance and compliance strategies, the role of management elites, and the structural analysis of financial markets.
