Prof. Dr. Johanna Kokot

Johanna Kokot ist Professorin für Volkswirtschaftslehre, insbesondere Verhaltensökonomik der Gesundheit, am Fachbereich Sozialökonomie der Universität Hamburg. Sie ist Mitglied des Hamburg Center for Health Economics (HCHE). Sie studierte von 2005 bis 2010 Volkswirtschaftslehre an der TU Dortmund und promovierte an der Universität Duisburg-Essen. Vor ihrem Wechsel nach Hamburg arbeitete sie am Zentralinstitut für die kassenärztliche Versorgung (Zi). 2019 trat sie eine Juniorprofessur an der Universität Hamburg an, Anfang 2026 wurde sie auf die Professur berufen. Ihre Forschung verbindet Verhaltensökonomik mit experimenteller Gesundheitsökonomik. Sie untersucht insbesondere, wie finanzielle Anreize und Vergütungsformen das Entscheidungsverhalten von Ärztinnen und Ärzten beeinflussen und in welchem Verhältnis finanzielle und altruistische Motive dabei stehen.
