Paul Koitie is a doctoral candidate with Prof. Dr. Lischka in the subject area of Journalism and Mass Communication in the Department of Social Sciences at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences. He has over 15 years of experience in journalism practice, currently serving as Quality Editor at Nation Media Group in Nairobi. He previously worked for the Radio Africa Group and Times News Services.
He is an Erasmus Mundus scholar, having received his double master’s degree in Journalism, Media and Globalization from Aarhus University (Denmark), University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands) and the University of Hamburg (Germany).
His current research interests include journalism innovation, particularly datafication and integration of artificial intelligence in journalism.
