Content and learning objectives: This course is an introduction to empirical health economics. It focuses on the analysis of policy measures in health care politics and health insurance. Structure:

Learning objectives: | The goal of this course is to help students understand the issues and the empirical methods in most current research papers on health economics. They should also become more familiar with the most important current research concerns, institutions, and the characteristics of the health market. Students will become familiar with the software package Stata by doing exercises and they will discuss applications using real data. |
Procedure: |
Lecture and practical course Course type: The lecture and the practical course, the latter of which takes place every 2 weeks, take place in person. The course takes place in English. Presentations: Roughly every 2 weeks students give group presentations. The goal is to introduce current research papers in the field of health economics. All participants should present once. |
