Research

The Professorship for Environmental Economics specializes in environmental and climate economic research.  Core areas are the European Union emissions trading system (EU ETS), the interplay between different climate policies, the diffusion of abatement technologies, and the intrinsic motivation for individual environmental protection.

In order to address our research questions, we apply several methodological approaches. Besides computational modeling, we conduct field and laboratory experiments as well as empirical studies.
