Brownbag Seminar: The validity of the EQ-HWB instruments in caregiver, mental health, and general populations for economic evaluation
with Dr. Cate Bailey – Senior Research Fellow, Melbourne Health Economics, School of Population and Global Health, The University of Melbourne, Australia
The EuroQol Health and Wellbeing Instruments (EQ-HWB) are a 25-item full version and 9-item short form, designed to measure health, social care, and carer-related quality of life, with a UK pilot value-set published for EQ-HWB-9. Dr. Bailey presents validity evidence from multiple papers across caregiver groups and general populations, covering psychometric properties and qualitative content validity, with refinements aimed at finalizing versions for calculating QALYs in social care and other scenarios needing sensitive measurement.
