At the DGS Congress (German Sociological Society - September 22-26, 2025) in Duisburg, Juan Deininger chaired Ad Hoc Group 46: Peer Contexts and Educational Transitions /
Intragenerational Dynamics in Educational Decisions, with the title: "Friendships and Peer Groups and Their Influence on Educational Decision-Making and Upward Mobility into Higher Education."

At the 6th International CILS4EU User Conference (Mannheim), Juan Deininger was also represented with a presentation: "Between Friendships and Peer Networks: The Role of Close Friendships in Diverse Friendship Environments for Educational Upward Mobility."
