Job vacancy: Research Assistant / Postdoctoral Researcher in Sociology, specialising in social change

The Chair of Sociology, with a particular focus on social change, is seeking to fill a full-time (100%) position as a Research Fellow / Postdoctoral Researcher, initially on a fixed-term contract for a period of three years, starting on 1 October 2026. Applicants are expected to have, amongst other things, excellent knowledge of research into social inequality, social mobility and/or the welfare state; expertise in the application of quantitative methods; familiarity with social science datasets; knowledge of and openness to (quasi)experimental research and mixed-methods designs; and excellent English language skills.
