"My Interest in New Cultures

I have a great passion for getting to know new cultures and opening myself up to different flavors and traditions. I am particularly fascinated by the countries of India and Sri Lanka. During my sabbatical in India, I spent 8 weeks there and was able to expand my horizons tremendously.

During this time, I made many new friends and was impressed by the diverse districts, the different Hindi dialects, and the unique customs present there. One experience that stood out to me was visiting Varanasi, the holiest pilgrimage site on the Ganges.

I can only encourage every student to explore the world, to be open to new cultures and customs, and to share the beautiful memories they gather along the way with others."
