Courses and Lectures
As a guest student at Universität Hamburg, you have the opportunity to attend courses offered by the Faculty you are enrolled at, that corresponds with your subject of study at your home university. The extracurricular language courses offered by the Language Center of Universität Hamburg is also available for you.
Incoming students are only able to take courses open for international guest students. There are some restrictions unfortunately.
Please put the course code/course number (from STiNE) on your Learning Agreement. We accept LAs only filled in on the computer.
Important: as a student of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences you will be able to attend courses only from the respective faculty (same rule for the students of the Faculty of Business Administration). You should know which faculty you belong to (see your Letter of Acceptance).
You are also allowed to attend courses only of your study level (cycle). Bachelor students are welcome to all bachelor courses of the respective faculty, but are not allowed to “cross over” to graduate lectures and vice versa.
Registration for the regular semester courses and the regular semester language courses (not intensives) takes place during the beginning of the term (10 first days) directly in Hamburg. All questions concerning your course choice, credits etc. will be answered during our Welcome Week in Hamburg.
You will be informed about the registration for German intensive classes before the semester start (they take place in September and March) in advanced by our International Office.
You don't need a STiNE-access before you will come to Hamburg. You will get your STiNE log-in data during our Welcome Week.
