Update für Studierende
English version below!
Dear Incoming and Outgoing students of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences and of the Faculty of Business Administration,
In the following, you can find a summary of recent developments and announcements regarding your mobility:
Incoming Students
- Incoming students, who have not yet arrived in Hamburg, have been asked to postpone their mobility.
- Incoming students, who are already in Hamburg, have been made aware of the current restrictions and the delayed start of the semester.
Outgoing Students
- Outgoing students, who already started their mobility, have been asked to check whether the conditions for a successful semester abroad are still in place. In the case of an earlier return to Hamburg or a cancellation of the mobility, it is still possible for them to choose courses for the summer semester 2020 at UHH.
- Outgoing students, who did not depart yet, are asked to postpone or cancel their mobility.
- Outgoing students, who had to cancel their mobility and who took an academic leave for the summer semester 2020, can still annul their academic leave and regularly complete the summer semester 2020.
In order to compensate for the postponment of mobilities, we are currently negotiating with our partner universities about an increase of mobility spots for the upcoming semesters. In case an increase is not possible, alternative mobility opportunities will be offered. In accordance with the increased number of spots for our outgoing students, the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Business Administration have confirmed to accept a respectively increased number of incoming students for the academic year 2020/21.
The European Union has promised high flexibility in postponing mobilities and covering costs caused by the cancellation of the mobility. Exchange students have been informed about these possibilities.
