Welcome
Biliana Yontcheva is Professor of Health Economics with an emphasis on Empirical Methods at Universität Hamburg. She is also an affiliate of the Center for Economic Policy Research and a member of the Standing Committe for Industrial Organization of the German Economics Association.
Her research covers is positioned at the intersection of Health Economics and Industrial Organization. In particular, she is interested in the empirical evaluation of regulation on healthcare markets.
Over the coming year, 3 new positions will be announced at the Chair for Health Economics with a specialization in Empirical Methods:
- Post-doc position for researchers interested in empirical policy evaluation (ideally in the fields of health economics or industrial organization)
- PhD position for a project funded by the German Science Foundation (DFG) dealing with the impact of vertical integration on patient expenditures and outcomes.
- PhD position for a project funded by the German Science Foundation (DFG) and their French counterpart (ANR) investigating the impact of market concentration on food retailing across 17 European and 3 developing countries.
