Marta Ceres Pinheiro Marinho Dutra is a doctoral researcher at the University of Hamburg. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Business and Sustainability from the University of Hamburg and a Bachelor’s Degree in Production Engineering from the Universidade Estadual do Maranhão, Brazil. During her Bachelor’s, she was awarded a scholarship from a Brazilian mobility program to study at the University of Newcastle, Australia. Her experience with sustainability started in a two-year internship in the Sustainable Development department of a power plant.
Research interests
Marta’s primary interest is in the investigation of how sustainability issues are addressed in the entrepreneurial domain. Her current research focuses on social entrepreneurs’ features and dynamics towards entrepreneurship. Specifically, she explores the experiences of social entrepreneurs and how different aspects influence social entrepreneurial processes. The research is motivated by an urge to further understand processes of identifying, evaluating, formalizing, and exploiting opportunities to solve humanity’s most urgent social and environmental problems through entrepreneurial approaches.
