University of Hamburg Joins The Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) Academic Network to Advance Sustainable Finance Research
The University of Hamburg is proud to announce its participation as a founding member of the newly launched Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) Academic Network. Announced at the Values-Based Finance Conference 2025 in Amsterdam by GABV, the network is designed to bridge the gap between academia and values-driven banking, fostering collaborative research in ethical, sustainable, and values-based banking.
As part of this global initiative, the network’s Steering Committee includes leading academics such as Prof. Marcos Eguiguren Huerta from UPF Barcelona School of Management and Dr. Frank Jan de Graaf from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Dr. Brigitte Bernard-Rau from the University of Hamburg—whose research focuses on sustainable finance, specifically on ESG and impact investing—represents our institution on the committee.
By joining the GABV Academic Network, the University of Hamburg reaffirms its strong commitment to advancing innovative research in sustainable finance.
