WELCOME!
The Chair “Management & Sustainability” was established at the University of Hamburg in 2013. Our research addresses questions about corporate practices towards environmental stewardship and climate protection. A major part of our research is concerned with the "business case for sustainability", i.e. how and when ecological sustainability can be aligned with economic interests.
In terms of teaching, you will find on the next pages information about lectures for bachelor and master programs, as well as office hours and rooms. Furthermore, some guidelines on writing term papers and final thesis.
Next to our research and teaching commitment, Prof. Timo Busch is Director of the Graduate School, which coordinates and supports PhD studies at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences. Furthermore, Prof. Busch is Chairman of the Advisory Board of oikos Hamburg, which is an international student organization, that develops and implements sustainability projects in order to foster the development of sustainability and management topics on campus.
