Virtual GRASFI Conference 2020

The GRASFI Conference committee announced calls for papers already by the end of 2019. The 3^rd Annual Conference for the Global Resarch Aliance for Sustainabile Finance and Investment (GRASFI), was supposed to be held at the University of Columbia in early September 2020. However, the COVID-19 outbreak led to a change in schedule to a virtual conference from the 8^th until the 11^th of September, 2020. The aim of this conference is to foster academic collaboration between researchers working on sustainable finance topics, as well as to nurture the development of graduate students and junior academics working within this field. Wiebke Szymczak and Simone Andrea Wagner attended the conference and participated in the PhD workshop. During the workshop, both PhD researchers received feedback from their peers and engaged in an interesting and lively discussion in smaller outbreak sessions. Presentation topics in the PhD session, as well as the main conference, ranged from financing natural infrastructure and the role of the state in advancing sustainable finance to climate-related risks and finance and impact measurements.
