An article in The New York Times is currently dedicated to the topic 'Why It's So Hard to Invest With a Social Conscience'. The article refers to a study by Friede, Busch, and Bassen (2015), which rounded up and examined about 2,200 pieces of research, found that about 90 percent of those studies showed no negative relationship between concern for social factors and corporate financial performance.
