The Chair of Management and Sustainability has been invited to present their current research projects at this year’s PRI Academic Network Conference 2017 on 26th – 27th of September in Berlin. The conference focuses on latest research regarding responsible investment practices and is organized by the Principles for Responsible Investment Initiative, which is supported by the United Nations.
Gunnar Friede will present insights of his current project together with Prof. Dr. Timo Busch:
Corporate social and financial performance: a second-order meta-analysis.
Based on previous meta-analyses, the paper provides empirically a more granular picture on differences in various Corporate social (CSP) and financial performance (CFP) metrics, their robustness, and moderating effects.
Maximilian Schnippering will present his paper on the link between Corporate Social Performance and Financial Performance. He will discuss whether Research and Development is the missing link between the two? And if, how does it impact their relationship.
The event will also be an exciting opportunity for the research group on Sustainable Finance to engage with other academics and investors. The aim of the research group is to highlight the role of financial markets and investments for sustainability in business practice. We strongly believe that financial markets bear a huge leverage for facilitating and fostering social and ecological improvement. Our research investigates a variety of aspects and mechanisms, with emphasis on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria, corporate strategies, stakeholder expectations and corresponding implications for corporate financial performance and risk.
