Carolin Hoyer joins our team at the Chair of Management and Sustainability as a part-time doctoral researcher. Her research interests include strategic sustainability management, the business case for sustainability and the role of business in contributing to international sustainable development.
With more than eight years of experience in the public sector, Carolin brings the perspective of a practitioner into the team. “Bridging the gap between research and practice is what motivates me most about my new role. I look forward to contribute with my research to complex issues like helping business to merge profit and purpose and balance value and values.”
Carolin also works for Unilever, where she is responsible for the corporate sustainability strategy in the markets Germany, Austria and Switzerland. She also leads the communication task force of the Forum for Sustainable Palm Oil (FONAP) – an alliance of companies, associations and non-governmental organizations working together to improve practices in the palm oil sector.
We warmly welcome Carolin to the team.
