Short bio
Sara Balitzky is a PhD candidate at the University of Hamburg, where her doctoral research focuses on impact investing.
She holds a BSc in Business, Economics and Social Sciences from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and a Master’s degree in International Political Economy from King’s College London and has worked and studied in multiple locations, including among others Mexico, Panama and Spain.
Sara lives in Paris where she works for the European Securities and Market’s Authority. She regularly participates to conferences and provides speaking engagements to the public on various topics related to the broader field of sustainable finance.
Her research interests lie in impact investing, with a particular focus on the social dimension, and the intersectionality between environmental and social issues. Her research further focuses on identifying and analysing impact driving mechanisms, including by assessing the channels through which sustainable finance can support sustainable development.
