Short bio
Simone Wagner joined the Chair of Sustainability and Management in April 2018. Consistent with her research interests, she focuses on projects assessing sustainability in mutual funds. In addition, she is a research assistant and PhD student at the School of Business, Economics and Social Science of the University of Hamburg.
Simone holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specific focus on finance from the Corporate State University Baden-Wuerttemberg and a Master's Degree in International Economics and Finance from the University of Magdeburg. Complementary with her M.Sc. and a strong interest in the field of sustainability, Simone enrolled in Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Beppu, Japan, mainly to attend sustainable management courses.
During her integrated degree program, Simone gained relevant work experience. She has worked in Germany and China predominantly in the field of banking and finance. Positions in the asset management of HSBC and the wealth management of Berenberg deepened her knowledge of the financial sector.
