Corporate social and financial performance: Revisiting the role of R&D
This project is focused on the relationship between corporate social performance (CSP) and financial performance (CFP) and seeks to establish a better understanding of moderating factors. Despite of tremendous research efforts over the last decades, there are still many open questions and methodological challenges. The omission of important variables in the econometrical estimation process has been found to be one key reason for the ambiguous results. This project aims to reflect this and related issues by using an enhanced longitudinal database for a robust quantitative analysis and by re-investigating the role of Research and Development (R&D) investments in this context.
