From March 17, 2021-March 19, 2021 the University of Hamburg hosted the first PolMeth Europe 2021 conference.
Due to the pandemic, this conference was held as a virtual conference but with many opportunities to talk and meet outside the presentations and to bring together great scholars with great ideas. The 3-day program was offering interesting keynote speeches, great paper and poster sessions, female networking meeting , some social events as well as an award ceremony.
One very interesting program part of the conference was the keynote speech, delivered by NYU Professor Neal Beck. While the keynote was not recorded live, the conference organizers convinced Neal to record the keynote after the conference. Neal's recorded keynote, "50 Years of Political Methodology and Some Suggestions for the Near Future: A Somewhat Personal View", is now available on YouTube! You can view it from here as well by clicking on the embedded video above.
The conference was a great success. We are looking forward to the next PolMeth Europe Meeting 2022!
