Our services for researchers and teachers
As a central institution for knowledge-exchange-related research at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, we want to encourage social innovation in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region, as well as improve your teaching through co-creative teaching formats and practice-relevant research questions. To this end, ROSI takes on two central tasks:
- We organize and support externally-financed commissioned research projects in which you, as an academic project leader conduct research for and with actors from civil society, politics, administration, and business.
- We provide support for teachers designing knowledge-exchange-oriented courses and advice and guidance(rosi.wiso"AT"uni-hamburg.de) on integrating practice-related research collaborations into your teaching.
Teaching with practical relevance? We are here for you!
How ROSI supports your teaching
The Research Office helps you better incorporate practical and real-world issues from our collaboration partners in the community into your teaching. This allows you to communicate the importance of your research in a non-university context to your students, while also increasing the social relevance of University knowledge production while also benefiting non-profit actors.
Our long-standing experience in conducting leading practice-based teaching formats means we are ideally placed to share our expertise for finding the right teaching format or collaboration partner for your research project, our templates for presentations, data protection guidelines and information, interviews, and online surveys, as well as our experience in starting and implementing practical collaborations, e.g., in creating collaboration agreements, etc.
If you’re interested in knowledge-exchange activities in your teaching, or if you have a collaboration partner interested in contributing a research question to your course, send us an email!(rosi.wiso"AT"uni-hamburg.de)
