Our services for students
You want to write term papers that won’t just be filed away, but use your research for real social challenges? Whether you are part of our interdisciplinary research team together with experienced researchers or if you are independently researching as part of your final thesis or a research internship, ROSI provides you with the opportunity to research relevant questions from and beneficial to Hamburg’s civil society.
What can the Research Office for Social Innovation do for you?
Our mission is to make empirical research for students accessible in practice and make our community better. The Research Office for Social Innovation coordinates research projects involving students supported by experienced researchers working on fascinating current social issues. Working with our collaboration partners from the community, politics, culture, and business, you can drive social innovations further.
For professionals only? Not at all! The Research Office offers all students at the University of Hamburg the opportunity to get involved, whether within the University curriculum, in specific projects, and in the office itself. As part of knowledge exchange in the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences, we are open to all students and we welcome everyone from all disciplines interested in practical research in the service of society.
Regardless of where you are in your studies, we provide you with the opportunity to learn important skills in practice and to contribute to society— whether you are an undergraduate or graduate research assistant in commissioned research, participant in practical research in your seminars, or undertaking independent research as part of practical research or collaborations for your bachelor’s or master’s thesis.
