About us
The professorship of Economics, in particular Media Economics at the Universität Hamburg was established in 2010. Our research covers the production, acquisition, financing, distribution and consumption of media products with the goal of providing theoretically grounded and reliable predictions for firms operating in the media sector as well as those engaged in its regulation. Details on recent research projects and publications are listet on our website "resaerch and research projects". Seminars and lectures offered by the institute focus on the study of competition in the media sector using the tools of microeconomics.
Prof. Dr. Armin Rott joined the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences in 2010, where he holds a joint professorship with the Hamburg Media School. At the Hamburg Media School he is the academic director and responsible of the MBA Programs in Media Management, too.
