Arrival by train

Long-distance trains stopping at Dammtor station: Take the exit to Hamburg Messe and continue on foot along Dammtorstrasse (approx. 5 minutes), cross Dammtorwall, turn right into Welckerstrasse (accross from the State Opera) and walk straight through to the end.

Arrival from Hamburg Airport

From the airport, you can continue your journey by cab, rental car or public transport: S-Bahn S1 in the direction of Ohlsdorf, change there to the U1 in the direction of Farmsen/Großhansdorf, travel to the Stephansplatz stop. Continue on foot along Dammtorstrasse, then turn right into Welckerstrasse ( across from the State Opera House). Information on travel times and prices can be obtained from the  Mit dem HVV zu uns.

Arrival by car

There is a parking garage at the end of Welckerstraße.
