Together with Alexander Kroll (Florida International University), Prof. Dr. Dominik Vogel has published a research article in the International Public Management Journal.
The article uses a so-called list experiment to find out how many public administration employees falsify performance data. The article also looks into the question of which factors favor the manipulation of data. It has been shown that employees manipulate data when they suffer from immense stress in the workplace and feel that their work is restricted by too much bureaucracy.
