Teaching
The courses offered by the team of the professorship in the Bachelor of Socioeconomics of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences aim to provide students with an economic background with the basic knowledge in the subject areas of civil and commercial law, in particular banking law, capital market law and consumer law.
The courses are based on the guiding principle of providing students with practical insights into German private law, in particular banking and capital market law as well as consumer law, and familiarizing them with the basic principles thereof, such as the validity of general principles in private law, private autonomy, but also the special position of the consumer in the current legal system.
Students should learn to critically examine the basic principles of German civil and commercial law, to evaluate them from an interdisciplinary perspective and to apply what they have learned to problems that arise in practice.
