Svenja Tobies was a research assistant (pre- and post-doc) at the Chair of Business Administration, specialising in sustainable management, at the University of Hamburg. In March 2024, she was awarded a doctorate in economics in the field of sustainable management by the University of Mannheim. In research and teaching, her work focused on sustainability management and the transformation of organisations in terms of sustainable development, both in relation to conventional and alternative forms of organisation. She regularly presented her research at international conferences, including the Academy of Management Annual Meeting (AOM), the European Group for Organisational Studies Colloquium (EGOS) and the International Association for Business & Society Annual Conference (IABS). Svenja holds a Master's degree in Management (M.Sc.) from the University of Mannheim and a Bachelor's degree in Culture and Economics: Spanish and Business Administration (B.A.) from the University of Mannheim.
