Research
In a nutshell, the work at our chair focuses on Norms Research in International Relations (IR) and International Political Theory (IPT). Yet, the conceptional, empirical and methodological approaches are characterised by its plurality, since it draws upon the different fields of study and disciplines beyond IR the members of the chair are familiar with. Antje Wiener's current research projects seek to investigate the interplay between diversity and normativity in the global realm as two central premises of global governance. In this context, it scrutinises the contestation of norms and analyses how citizens engage in the struggles about existing (global) governance structures.
