I am an assistant professor of political science, in particular international relations and global health. Together with my team and colleagues, I conduct research on the themes of violence, migration, and health, and their social, political, and psychological causes and consequences. In current research projects, we investigate the effects of violence on migration-decision making, of terrorism on right-wing extremist violence, and of violent conflict on vaccination-hesitancy and child mortality.
In the DFG-funded research project "Political Legacies of Wartime Victimization”, together with Ajla Henic we are investigating the long-term political consequences of (sexualized) violence.
