Research

The focus of our research is on the causes and consequences of residential relocation, residential location decisions and commuting mobility. In this context, we investigate a variety of topics, e.g. the importance of urban greenery for housing satisfaction and life satisfaction in large cities; the effects of commuting mobility on intimate partnerships and the division of labour in the household; the use of remote work before the Corona pandemic in a European comparison. Position in the life course, gender, and socio-economic status play an important role in our research.
