LFF Graduate Programme: Democratising Security in Turbulent Times
The graduate programme combines research on the crucial yet contested relation between security and democracy with doctoral qualification in an interdisciplinary setting. Coordinated by the University of Hamburg, the graduate programme “Democratising Security in Turbulent Times” is an interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers from the University of Hamburg (UHH), Helmut-Schmidt-University/University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg (HSU), Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at Universität Hamburg (IFSH) and the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA). Funded by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg as part of a state-wide research funding scheme (Landesforschungsförderung), it is designed to form an intellectual hub for innovative and critical peace and security research in Hamburg.
The graduate programme has ended in summer 2024.
