By long-distance train (ICE or IC)

Most long-distance trains stop at Hamburg Dammtor. From there it is a 5- to 10-minute walk. Take the exit “Moorweide” (not the one to the exhibition halls) and turn left into  “Edmund-Siemers-Allee”. On your way,  you will pass the University's Main Building. Turn half right into “Grindelallee”. You will find the main building opposite the bus station “Universität/Staatsbibliothek”.

From the Airport

From the airport, you can take the suburban train S1 to “Ohlsdorf”. In “Ohlsdorf”, please change to the subway U1 in the direction of “Farmsen/Großhansdorf”. Exit the train at the station “Hallerstraße”. From there it is a 10-minute walk to the main building at Von-Melle-Park 5.
