Short bio
Alice Sakhel is currently working as research assistant and PhD student at the School of Business, Economics and Social Science of University of Hamburg. She holds a Diploma in Business Administration as well as a CEMS Master's in International Management from the University of Cologne. She spent two semesters studying abroad, one in the United States and another in Brazil.
Besides her studies, she completed internships at different medium-sized consultancies including one in Brazil and one at Ernst & Young in Munich, Germany. She also worked for several years as a student assistant at the Department of Retailing and Customer Management at the University of Cologne.

Short bio
Alice was a postdoctoral research associate in the School of Business, Economics and Social Science at the University of Hamburg, where she also received her PhD degree in 2017 with a research focus on climate change risks and climate protection in the corporate context. Among others, as a scientific advisor, she supported Professor Busch in his role as a member of the Federal Government's steering committee of the Climate Protection Science Platform. The latter is set out to make suggestions for improvements to the recent Climate Action Program 2030 and monitor the latter's implementation.
From 2017 to 2019, Alice was an associate for energy statistics and scenarios at the think tank Agora Energiewende in Berlin. Before her time in Hamburg and Berlin, she studied Business Administration and International Management in Cologne and São Paulo with a focus on retail marketing, corporate development, political science, and energy economics. During her studies, she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Retailing and Customer Management at the University of Cologne, and gained practical experience at various consulting companies, at the German Federal Government and the Franco-German Association for Science and Technology in Paris.
