Student excursion 2017 to HanseWerk AG Innovationsstandort
The team of Timo Busch and a group of students from the Interdisciplinary Public and Nonprofit Studies” (M. Sc.) made an excursion to the HanseWerk AG Innovationsstandort in Hamburg-Reitbrook, giving the students the opportunity to gain insights into pioneering energy technologies.

Student excursion 2017 to HanseWerk AG Innovationsstandort
The group attended a guided tour. One successful project run by the HanseWerk AG and its partners is the so called “Power-to-Gas” plant. This technology offers a new way of storing (renewable) energy and, therefore, can contribute to meeting key challenges related to the German Energiewende: increased flexibility and storage of access electricity.

MIBAS student excursion 2016 to Wind Farm Francop
On July 1st, Prof. Dr. Timo Busch and students from his master course “Industrial Ecology” set out for an excursion to the Wind Farm Francop located just outside of Hamburg. The wind farm is partly owned by WEB Windenergie, which is the largest community joint-venture enterprise of the wind energy sector and actively promotes the regional energy transition.

MIBAS student excursion 2015 to Pellworm
Prof. Dr. Timo Busch and a group of students from the MIBAS (Master of International Business and Sustainability) made an excursion to the SmartRegion prject on the island Pellworm.
Pellworm has one of the largest hybrid renewable energy plants in Europe. It combines photovoltaic and wind energy. Thus it is an ideal location for smart grids.

MIBAS student excursion 2014 to Nordex
The team of Timo Busch and a group of students from the MIBAS (Master of International Business and Sustainability) made an excursion to the production facilities of Nordex in Rostock.
Nordex is one of the largest industrial producer of wind turbines and is located in Hamburg and Rostock. The company has more than 2500 employees and yields a yearly sales of above 1 billion €.
