Christopher Pavenstädt is a PhD student and researcher at the DFG-cluster CLICCS at Universität Hamburg, where he is working in the project B1 "Social constructions of Climate Futures". His interests include political discourse on climate change, the science-policy interface and social movements. In his research he focuses on the transformative role of future-related narratives at the interface between climate movements, science and political actors for German and US-climate politics. Starting from the discursive agency of social movements, he wants to identity strategic practices as well as structural mechanisms through which actors' narratives can become policy-relevant (or not), especially as arrangements of relating to science and/or politics.
