I am a postdoctoral research fellow on the PROMISE project at IFSH, and previously worked at Tampere Peace Research Institute in Finland (TAPRI). I hold a PhD from Aberystwyth University, UK where I researched unarmed civilian protection practices and nonviolence as an ontological and epistemic world-making practice. This work has been recently published by Edinburgh University Press as a monograph entitled “Nonviolent Encounters: Unarmed civilian protection through bodies, spaces, and times”. My current research interests include feminist political theories of violence and nonviolence, as well as the temporalities of war preparedness, particularly in the Nordic states.
