I am curious how imaginations of threatening futures translate into ordinary, everyday tasks. My focus is on Sweden’s total defence (totalförsvar) concept and the entanglement of governmental mandates with lived practice, asking how the promise of protection is reorganized and pluralized. I am particularly interested in the role of businesses within these arrangements and how totalförsvar shapes and is shaped by their internal logics, routines and constraints.
Before pursuing my doctorate within PROMISE, I worked for two years as a Risk Officer at an IT provider for the Danish banking sector. I hold an MSc in Security Risk Management from the University of Copenhagen, including a semester abroad at the University of British Columbia, and a BA in Political Science from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.
