Center for Human Resources Research
The Center for Human Resources Research in the Department of Socioeconomics at Universität Hamburg is an interdisciplinary platform that consolidates research conducted in different departments. There is a special focus on quantitative and qualitative empirical HR research.
The center’s staff conducts both theoretical and empirical research in the field of HR. They use an interdisciplinary approach to tackle real-world problems on both individual and macroeconomic scales, drawing upon business administration theories and methods as well as current research in law, psychology, and sociology.
At the Center for Human Resources Research, we see ourselves as a network that consolidates, pursues, and promotes research activities. We are also especially committed to acquiring external funding to finance empirical research and to intensifying our contact with practitioners. In addition to the center’s academic staff, members of the Master of Arts in Human Resource Management conduct research at the Center for Human Resources Research. There are close links between the center, the master’s program, and industry cooperation partners.
