Organization Studies

Welcome to the Chair for Organization Studies!

The Chair for Organization Studies, held by Prof. Dr. Daniel Geiger, was inaugurated at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences in April 2013. In our research we focus on two main areas: Routine dynamics in complex emergencies and the management of tensions and paradoxes in responding to grand societal challenges such as climate change or refugee emergencies.

We offer a variety of lectures and seminars throughout Bachelor-, Master- and PhD- programs at the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Science.

We publish publish our research in the leading international and national management journals such as Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science, Organization Studies, Organization, Journal of Applied Behavioral Science and Management Learning.

In addition, Prof. Daniel Geiger is a member of the Executive Board of the European Group for Organization Studies and he serves as member of the Editorial Board of numerous Organization and Management Journals.
