On May 18th at 13h, Vera Troeger gives her talk "Productivity takes leave: Maternitiy Benefits, Productivity and Carrer paths of female academics" at the The 2nd King's Policy & Regulation Workshop (KPRW).

Some of the most innovative public policy scholars will present at the 2nd King’s Policy and Regulation Workshop (KPRW). The line-up of speakers includes Anne Rasmussen (University of Copenhagen), Frank Baumgartner (UNC Chapel Hill), Saba Siddiki (Syracuse University), Jane Gingrich (University of Oxford), Vera Tröger (University of Hamburg), Chris Koski (Reed College) and Scott James (King’s College London). The speakers will address a variety of current policy challenges, ranging from the COVID-19 pandemic to social mobility and environmental protection.
The workshop is organized by the Public Policy and Regulation Research (PPR) Group in the Department of Political Economy and seeks to bring together different traditions and disciplines.
The event will be closed by the Ken Young Annual Lecture in Public Policy held by Frank Baumgartner titled ‘Racial Disparities in Policing and Criminal Justice: An Example of the Inefficiency of Problem Detection in Public Policy (and a Failure of Political Science as a Discipline)’.
