Dr. Antônio Inácio Andrioli has been campus director and vice rector at the Federal University of Fronteira Sul (UFFS), Brasil, which he has helped build since its inception in 2009. He is an expert on research involving transgenic soybean and its social and environmental effects on Brazilian farmers. His main research interests focus on family farming, organic agriculture and sustainable development.

Prof. Leland Glenna, Ph.D. is professor of Rural Sociology and Science, Technology, and Society at the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology and Education at Penn State University. His main research focusses on agriculture and natural resources, especially social and social and environmental impacts of agricultural science and technologies, the role of science and technology in agricultural and natural resource policy making, and the social and ethical implications of democratizing science and technology research.
Prof. Klaus Weber, Ph.D. is Professor of Management and Organizations at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Illinois, USA. His main research focusses on the dynamics of organizational and institutional sustainability transitions; the interactions between social movements, corporations, and markets; and economic globalization.

Prof. Dr. Ève Chiapello, Research Director at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris and co-author of the book "The New Spirit of Capitalism", received the Anneliese Maier Research Award of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in 2016 and since then has been researching at the CSS (formerly CGG) together with Prof. Dr. Anita Engels and other WISO scientists. As a researcher she is primarily concerned with the critique of capitalism and the far-reaching process of financialisation, i.e. the change in economic, political and social practices and decisions through the influence of financial knowledge and regulations.

Dr. Oliver Geden is a visiting researcher at the Max-Planck-Institute of Meteorology (Hamburg) and the CGG (April – October 2018). His main areas of research are EU energy policy, the European Union, climate governance, policy regimes. His home affiliation is Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) in Berlin. During his time in Hamburg, he will collaborate with colleagues at the CGG on questions of climate governance.

Mags Tingey is a part-time PhD researcher and Research Officer in the department of Sociology at the University of Edinburgh whose research is about local government strategies for investment in low carbon energy.
Dr. habil. Frank Wendler is a visiting assistant professor at the department of political science and Jackson School at the University of Washington in Seattle. His main research interests are the European Union and related fields like the Europeanization of public policy or Party Politics in the EU. The title of his professorial thesis was “Debating Europe in National Parliaments. Public Justification and Political Polarization”.
