Consumer behaviour and confidence
Consumer confidence index: Consumer confidence is determined using a complex survey-based method. On the one hand, survey-based methods are time consuming and expensive, on the other hand the survey-based statistics are reported with a time delay. By using new data sources, the aim of the project is to forecast the consumer confidence and behaviour and to develop a novel method for the analysis. Methodologically, the project is based on the findings from behavioural economics, macroeconomics and methods of linguistic analysis.
