Marlen Liegat has been working as a doctoral researcher at the junior professorship of business administration, especially public management, at the University of Hamburg since October 2020. Her research focuses on ICTHOS - Implicit Citizenship Theories: Content and structure, conditions and consequences of implicit conceptions about citizens in the public sector. The project is sponsored by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and directed by Prof. Dr. Rick Vogel and Prof. Dr. Dominik Vogel.
Marlen holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the Justus-Liebig-Universität, Gießen, and a Master's degree in Psychology from TU Darmstadt. Her final thesis is based on developing and validating a short questionnaire to assess the construct "Lebenskunst". After completing her master's degree, she joined a market research institute as a junior consultant, where she gained extensive experience in the coordination, management, and control of quantitative research. She was also responsible for international projects with renowned customers from the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and financial services sectors.
