Research Focus
The current research at this chair focuses on
Climate Communication
Climate change is a huge challenge for mankind. Since you cannot experience this long-term and multiform process directly, communication is essential when you want to define how humans understand climate change and how they respond to it.
We explore debates on climate as:
- a phenomenon of transnational communication and the development of transnational public spheres
- a phenomenon which people discuss in different ways depending on national, regional or media specific contexts
- a case study for post-normal journalism and science communication
- a topic which is not always well received by the public
Furthermore, we conduct research on
Transnational communication
