For incoming students and students of the University of Hamburg
Everyone who spent some time abroad is familiar with the feeling of the first couple of weeks: This certain mixture of the euphoria about the new surroundings and impressions on the one hand and the feeling of being completely lost on the other. The cultural backgrounds and customs are only vaguely known from several travel advisors and the language, even if fluently spoken, is still strange to use. Nevertheless, many things have to be organized, especially during the first days and weeks.
In order to help our international guest students who come to study at the School of Business, Economics and Social Sciences for one or two semesters, we organize the so-called Buddy-Programme to help you during this period (and beyond). The Buddy-Programme is organized by the International Office of the school. A student coordinator and a network of Hamburg students take care of the International students who come to the School of Business, Economics and Social Sciences.
